Fabric: a crisp, sturdy cotton; bust features its own nylon and lace built-in bullet bra and gusset is lined in nylon

Color: aqua, greens and cobalt blue against a white ground; adorable mod flower border print!

Straps can be unbuttoned for sunbathing or buttoned bra style as desired

Hourglass style with side panels of elastic smocking, a fitted waist with original belt, and a front and back short "skirt" that covers adorable bubble-cut, bloomer-style bottoms

Sturdy center back metal zipper

Original garment labels are intact.

The Measurements:

Corresponds with a modern day Misses Size Medium.

Bust: (underarm to underarm measured flat, then doubled) 34" to about 36" stretched, and bust cups look like they will hold a C or small D. (ample bust area, which is nice; model is a D cup for reference)

Waist: 25" stretches to about 27".

Hips: 32" stretches to about 37".

Bodice of bathing suit length is fully adjustable with four settings on the buttons that should fit just about any torso.

Length of "skirt": 11 1/2".

Length of bottoms: 11 1/2" from waist measured to mid-crotch, front of suit.

The Condition:

This 50+ year old swimsuit is in Excellent vintage shape with no visible stains, holes, tears, or other damage. The smocking appears to be in great shape.

There has been one very small 1/4 inch repair (by hand) to the inside built bra where the boning on one side pushed through the fabric.
